48-Volt RV Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps

48-volt RV air conditioners are where high-output van builds are heading. At four times the bus voltage of a 12V system you move the same power through a quarter of the current, which means smaller cable, lower voltage drop and a compressor that can run flat out on a hot afternoon without cooking your wiring.

Most of these units are reverse-cycle heat pumps: the same box that cools the van in July heats it in October, silently, with no diesel, no propane and no combustion exhaust. In a well-insulated van that makes a 48V heat pump the single most useful climate appliance you can fit, provided the bank can feed it.

These pair natively with 48V lithium architectures such as the EcoFlow Power Kits. Running a conventional 12V bank instead? Shop 12-Volt RV Air Conditioners.
