2TEC2 / Lonseal Pre-Cut Van Flooring - 2015+ Ford Transit
Reliable shipping
Flexible returns
A floor cut to your Transit’s outline before it ships — so you skip the cardboard templates and go straight to adhesive.
Templating a van floor by hand is a full day of cardboard, tape and swearing, and the result is only as good as your patience at hour six. This is the alternative: the perimeter CNC-cut to the 2015+ Ford Transit floor where it meets the walls and the door openings, in your choice of 2TEC2 woven vinyl or Lonseal sheet vinyl.
It is also a resale argument. Laminate click flooring in a van cracks, bows and lifts — van floors see temperature swings and chassis flex that a house floor never does. Both of these are commercial transport-grade surfaces that stay put and clean up.
2TEC2 or Lonseal? Pick before you order
- 2TEC2 for most Transits. The Transit floor is ribbed, and a plywood subfloor over ribs almost always ends up with a slight waviness at the sheet joints. At 5 mm, 2TEC2’s woven-vinyl construction absorbs that. Lonseal, at 2.5 mm, will show it.
- Lonseal if height is critical. Half the thickness, half the head-height cost. Worth it in a low-roof or mid-roof Transit where you are counting inches at the bed.
- Pick your wheelbase carefully. 148", 148" EXT and 148" Dually are three different cuts and the wrong one is not returnable.
- Order the adhesive at the same time. The two materials use completely different systems and there is no substituting one for the other.
Wheelbase and vehicle fitment
| Vehicle | Ford Transit, 2015 and newer |
| Wheelbase options | 148", 148" EXT, 148" Dually — select in the drop-down |
| Substrate | Adheres to plywood; a smooth, fine finish is recommended |
| Recommended pairing | AVC Rig Ford Transit floor trim kits |
| Shipping | Free shipping to all lower 48 US states |
The wheelbase you select drives the cut. Confirm yours from the door jamb sticker or the VIN, not from memory or from a listing you half-remember.

What ships to you
- One CNC pre-cut floor in the material, color and wheelbase you select
- Adhesive is not included and must match the material — see the specification table
Laying it: adhesive choice is the whole job
The Transit’s factory floor is ribbed, and the whole quality of this job is decided before the flooring ever comes out of the box. Your plywood has to bridge those ribs without deflecting, and the sheet joints have to be flush. Sand the joints, fill the screw heads, and run your hand over the whole floor before you accept it — if you can feel a step, the flooring will show it.
Then the adhesive. 2TEC2 takes DAP All Purpose Adhesive spray grade, DAP Weldwood or P809. Lonseal takes Lonseal two-part epoxy or Lonseal #650. There is no crossover between them and substituting is how you get edge lift six months later.
- Feel the whole subfloor by hand before you open anything. Any step you can feel will telegraph.
- 2TEC2 adhesive: DAP All Purpose Adhesive spray grade, DAP Weldwood, or P809.
- Lonseal adhesive: Lonseal two-part epoxy, or Lonseal #650.
- Dry-lay and check the perimeter against the door apertures first. This is your last chance to catch a wheelbase mismatch.
- Roll the whole floor after laying. Pressure makes the bond, not time.
Questions we get asked about this part
What exactly does “pre-cut” mean?
The perimeter is CNC-cut to the Transit cargo floor outline, where it meets the walls and the door openings. It is not a kit with holes cut for your furniture — it is the outline, done accurately, so nobody spends a Saturday on the floor with cardboard and a marker.
Can I glue it straight to the Transit floor?
No. Both materials bond to plywood, and a smooth, fine-finish plywood is what they are specified for. On a Transit that means insulation or furring over the ribbed floor, then ply, then flooring.
How long before it ships?
It is made after you order. Allow 7–10 business days before shipping, assuming the material is in stock. If a longer lead time turns up once the order is processed, we will tell you.
What finishes the edge?
A floor trim kit. We recommend pairing this with the AVC Rig Ford Transit floor trim kits, which are made for the same floor outline. An accurate cut still wants an edge trim to hide the line and stop the perimeter lifting.
Which is better for a Transit, 2TEC2 or Lonseal?
For most Transit builds we lean 2TEC2, because at 5 mm it hides the small imperfections that appear where plywood sheets meet over the Transit’s ribbed floor. If your subfloor is a single flat sheet and you want to keep every millimeter of interior height, Lonseal is the better call.
