Folds completely in half and the armrests come off entirely — the MobiFrame seat designed to be taken out of the van, not just moved around in it.

The Adventure Seat is the flexible one. It reclines fully with total stability at any angle, folds all the way in half onto itself to free up space or to make removal manageable, and its two armrests both fold up and detach completely.

That last detail is the one builders notice. Removable armrests mean the seat can pass through a slider door opening that a fixed-armrest seat will not, and it means the seat can sit tight against a wall or a cabinet when you need the width.

Which MobiFrame seat is right for your build?

• Choose the Adventure Seat if the seat needs to come out regularly, or if space is tight enough that removable armrests matter.
• Choose the Comfort Seat if the seat is staying in and you want the same rotation with fixed rotatable armrests.

Mounting and compatibility

If you do not have a MobiFrame floor, you need the installation kit. It contains the floor plate, the anchoring and the adhesives, and it is not optional — a certified seat is only certified when it is attached the way it was tested.

Mounting, freight and what to expect on delivery day

Plan the removal path, not just the mounting position. The whole point of this seat is that it comes out; measure the folded seat against your slider door aperture with the armrests off before you commit to a location that requires carrying it past a galley.

As with every MobiFrame seat, the certification is tied to the anchorage. Use the floor plate kit if you do not have a MobiFrame floor.

• Measure the folded seat, armrests removed, against your door aperture.
• Tape out the 360° swing radius before fixing the plate.
• Travel only forward or backward facing.
• Curbside or dock freight delivery — arrange residential service in advance.

Questions we get asked about this part

What do the safety certifications actually mean?

FMVSS and CMVSS are the US and Canadian federal motor vehicle safety standards. FMVSS/CMVSS 207 covers seating systems — the seat structure and its anchorage. A seat that meets it has been physically tested as an assembly. That certification depends on the seat being mounted the way it was tested, which is why the floor plate kit matters as much as the seat.

Can I fit a child seat?

Yes. These seats have ISOFIX anchor points and a top tether anchor. Note where the top tether attaches: the rear lower frame of the seat bottom, not the bulkhead behind it. Check the images and the seat diagram before you assume your child seat strap will reach.

How far does it recline?

Fully, with stability held at any angle in between — it is not a two-position seat. That is the main functional difference from the Comfort Seat, which offers partial recline and a full forward fold.

When will it be back in stock?

MobiFrame have it out of stock until May 2026. We will hold a backorder if you want it, or point you at the Folding Taxi Seat, Comfort Seat or Seatbed in the meantime.
