MOLLE Panel RotopaX Hardware Kit - Front-Installable Carriage Nuts
Reliable shipping
Flexible returns
Mounts a RotopaX to a MOLLE panel from the front — so you are not reaching blind behind a ladder-mounted panel with a wrench.
Anyone who has tried to bolt a RotopaX mount to a rear-ladder MOLLE panel knows the problem. The fasteners want a nut on the back face, the back face is against the ladder or the door, and you end up with one hand behind the panel holding a wrench you cannot see, for twenty minutes.
This kit uses carriage nuts designed so the whole installation happens from the front of the MOLLE panel. No reaching through, no reaching behind, no dropped hardware.
What it is for
- Mounting a RotopaX fuel, water or storage pack to Unaka rear ladder system MOLLE panels.
- Any MOLLE panel installation where the rear face is inaccessible.
- Replacing improvised hardware that has worked loose.

Working with it
RotopaX packs are heavy when full and they hang off the back of the van on a lever arm, which means every fastener sees cyclic load on every washboard road. Threadlock them and re-check after the first trip.
Check what is directly behind the panel before you tighten anything down — on a rear ladder system there is often a door skin, a light, or a wiring run closer than you would like.
- Threadlock everything. Cyclic load on a rear-mounted heavy accessory finds loose fasteners fast.
- Check clearance behind the panel before final torque.
- Re-check after the first trip, then at every service.
- A full RotopaX is heavy — account for it in your rear axle load.
Questions we get asked
Does it include the RotopaX or the mount?
No. This is the hardware kit that attaches a RotopaX mount to the MOLLE panel. The pack and its mount are sold separately.
Why not just use standard bolts and nuts?
You can, if you can reach the back of the panel. The whole reason this kit exists is that on a rear ladder system you usually cannot, and holding a nut blind behind a panel turns a five-minute job into a swearing match.
