Rumpl NanoLoft Puffy Blanket - Travel Size
Reliable shipping
Flexible returns
The travel-size NanoLoft — packable, water resistant and washable, sized for a plane seat, a passenger seat or a day of driving.
The NanoLoft Puffy is designed to provide superior warmth and comfort while keeping all the qualities that make a Rumpl worth owning: it packs down, it resists water, and it goes in the washing machine.
The Travel size is the one that is meant to move with you rather than live in one place. It is the blanket for the plane, the car, and the long transit day — and in a van it is the one that ends up permanently in the front, over the passenger’s knees, rather than on the bed.
Who it is for
- Buy the Travel size if the blanket needs to move — flights, passenger seat, day trips.
- Buy an Original Puffy instead if the blanket is going to live on the bed.
- Black, Deepwater or Alpenglow — two quiet colors and one that is not.
- Note it is a smaller size than the full-size blankets in the range. It is a travel blanket, not a bed blanket.

What's included

Living with it in a van
A travel blanket that lives in a car door pocket or a seat back gets dirtier than one on a bed, and this one is washable, so use that. Wash it when it needs it rather than treating it as an heirloom.
It is also the right size to keep in the cab of a van as an emergency layer. A blanket you can actually reach from the driver’s seat is worth more in a breakdown than a better one in the back.
- Keep it in the cab, not the back — that is what the travel size is for.
- It is washable. Wash it.
- Cold, gentle, no fabric softener.
- Smaller than the bed-size blankets — check the size before buying it as your only blanket.
Questions we get asked
How do I wash it?
Follow Rumpl’s own care instructions, which come with the blanket. As a general rule for technical synthetics: cold, gentle cycle, mild detergent with no fabric softener, and no bleach. Fabric softener is the enemy of a DWR finish — it coats the fibres and kills the water repellency.
Why do we stock blankets at a van parts shop?
Because we build vans and we know what actually gets used in them. A packable, wipe-clean, water-resistant blanket lives in a van in a way a cotton throw does not: it goes on the bed, over your knees at a trailhead, on the ground at a picnic table, and then packs back into a stuff sack instead of taking up half a cupboard.
What is NanoLoft?
It is Rumpl’s synthetic insulation, used across this line. The practical differences from down are that it keeps insulating when damp and it goes in a washing machine without special treatment — both useful in a van.
How big is the Travel size?
It is smaller than the full-size blankets in the range and sized for a seat rather than a bed. For exact dimensions, ask us and we will confirm the current spec before you order.
